- I may be doing a project soon, using the VISION tool to develop a simple
- application. While I have used it successfully before (without a manual!), I
- now may be asked to train/support new users of the product.
-
- I would like to hear reactions from people who have used VISION. Did you like
- it, hate it, under what circumstances did you use it? Some specific questions:
-
- 1. Any opinions on the quality of code that VISION generates?
- 2. How complex an application will VISION's code templates handle?
- 3. Has anyone had experience with the product being used by end-users, ie by
- (sophisticated) non-programmers?
- 4. Has anyone used VISION as a 'documentation tool' for complex applications,
- ie, write user-defined 4GL or ESQl procedures for all your application
- frames, but use VISION for the flow chart and documentation fields?
- 5. Any peculiar quirks, clever tricks, or any other comments?
-
- I found VISION very easy and quick to use for the simple application I
- developed before. I particularly liked the way it could be used to document an
- application.
-
- So what do you think?
