  14.     I am just starting a project which will include a database of
  15. information.  I would like the information in the database to be available
  16. to anyone who wants it.  (I.e. it will be on a computer that has both
  17. internet and modem access.)

  19.     My proposal is to have the database and the database engine sit
  20. on a UNIX server.  Then I would like to distribute public domain software
  21. that could run on a Mac, IBM PC, or a UNIX box.  I would perfer a Public
  22. Domain database engine, but I have the budget to buy one.  But the Public
  23. Domain client software is a must.  My users will be college students and
  24. such and will not have money to pay for software.
