  13. I don't know where the record/file lock information is
  14. held in Clipper files, but I've had single user apps
  15. with the networking locks crash in a variety of ways and never
  16. had problems accessing them when the pc/app/whatever recovered.
  17. It's possible that the computer and/or DOS has the file locked
  18. and not Clipper.  I don't use file locks if I can help it 
  19. because they can trash the data if the app. crashes with the
  20. file locked.  Try copying the data file and the EXE to a
  21. different directory on the same pc and see if the problem
  22. persists.
