- Hi,
-
- Can DBASE IV guru help me on this problem. I am viewing a database file in the bROWSE mode
-
- Is there any way I can have access to the field of the record I am currently viewing. The reason I need
-
- this because by using the ON KEY COMMAND and the present field I am planning to do a few
-
- operations on another database file. e.g If you have two database files one with SSNO and Name, the
-
- second file contains SSNO. address, employee status etc. While the user is Browsing through the
-
- first database file he wants to get more info on a particular persom so he enters say Shift-F5. At that
-
- time the procedure in ON KEY LABEL DO command should get the field of the record the user
-
- was viewing and get the data from the second file. I talked with DBASE support and they told me
-
- that there was no way to get the field of the record. Does anybody have solution to this problem.
-
- Thanks.
-
- Dinesh.
