- Hi,
-
- I am searching for possibility of storing short image sequences (10 ... 30 sec)
- of 3 or 4 synchronized CCD cameras to the harddisk of a SUN (S-Bus) or a PC. As
- realtime disks and image sequence RAM are rather expensive, my idea was to use
- a board doing JPEG or MPEG compression in realtime and writing the compressed
- data to the harddisk.
-
- My questions are:
- 1.) Where do I get realtime JPEG/MPEG compression boards?
- 2.) Who has got experiences with such boards?
- 3.) Is there any possibility of having two or more boards in one host?
- Does it make sense to use an RGB JPEG compression board and 'cheating' it
- by supplying data of 3 synchronized camaras simultaneously?
-
