  16.     We are about to undertake on a project to study pointer usage in
  17. computer programs, and were wondering if anybody has written a tool that
  18. will tell you what percentage of loads are, in fact, just getting addresses
  19. for pointer dereferences...
  20.  
  21.     If such a tool has been written, we would like to save ourselves the
  22. time of writing it.  If not, we would appreciate any suggestions on how we'd
  23. go about doing this.
