-
- Ok. Actually, I am not running my own mailing list yet, but... to
- alleviate volume on the person who IS running the mailing list I gate, I
- sometimes send large things to every member of the list (small anyway)
- directly myself, so I cant have
-
- usenet:
- newsgroup /mod="alias1"
-
- Since POSTING to the newsgroup will send it off (and swamp) the real
- mailing list, and it wont go out via my setup.
-
- (However, I suppose I could set it up so EVERYTHING sent locally to the
- newsgroup goes via my own "auto-mailer" - PROVIDED this is the solution
- to get local mailings INTO that newsgroup.)
-
- I'll try both momentarily.

- Will this be ok when using alias1 + aliasfile ?

- Then things will be sent out via the real address (and possibly swamp).
-
- Actually, I'm worried about more stacking more things on top - I usually
- swamp the list when forwarding large interesting things found in other
- places on the usenet - so forwarding has to work for my "automailing"
- list of aliases. (so that I get a copy and send out a copy for each
- member on my system without swamping the real address)
