- I know that this has taken a while, but I finally got a beta version of
- Ghostscript 2.52 ready. It can be obtained via anon ftp from
- lifshitz.ph.utexas.edu (pub/atari/ghostscript/beta/gs252b.zoo). Please
- do not upload this code to any other archives. When it seems that there
- are no major bugs, I will upload it to atari.archive.
-
- I am particularly interested in whether the 8-bit color code in the
- screen driver works (in TT low-res I guess, or perhaps some graphics
- card). The driver does not yet set its own palette, but it searches the
- available palette for the nearest color, so the colors should be
- something close to correct (unlike previous versions). Of course,
- reports of any other bugs are welcome also.
-
- For the majority of users, GS 2.52 is not significantly different from
- 2.41, except that a few command line options have been added (select
- paper size and band-printing buffer size) and the color screen driver is
- hopefully a bit better.
