  18. You picked the right school, just a number of years too late. Rice used
  19. to be big into Burroughs machines, but at some point switched to IBM and
  20. took a major performance hit. That's IBM 360 architecture, mind, the IBM
  21. 5000 series (including the IBM PC) wasn't out at that time.
