  14.     We are about to undertake on a project to study pointer usage in
  15. computer programs, and were wondering if anybody has written a tool that
  16. will tell you what percentage of loads are, in fact, just getting addresses
  17. for pointer dereferences...
  18.  
  19.     If such a tool has been written, we would like to save ourselves the
  20. time of writing it.  If not, we would appreciate any suggestions on how we'd
  21. go about doing this.
