I'm working on an engineering program that operates under UNIX and X-Windows
on about a half-dozen popular platforms.  For the newest version, I've been
given the task of investigating the possibility of adding some kind of
spreadsheet capability.  It would be used for a variety of editing and
display tasks.  Optimally, I would like to find some third-party software
that can be linked into the main program, and could transfer data back
and forth in a straightforward manner.  I suppose some kind of X widget
spreadsheet might also work.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?
