  23. I do! We are currently working with a connectionist model that can learn simple
  24. naming tasks based on visual and acoustic input. The model is designed such as
  25. to roughly account for several observations on child language acquisition, e.g.
  26. Ellen Markman's constraints children put on word meaning, or K. Nelson's
  27. hypotheses about the influence of language on the acquistion of concept 
  28. taxonomies.
