  12. I was wondering if any of the readers know of material regarding
  13. the actual (as opposed to hypothetical) impact of outliers on
  14. estimation of correlations.  There is one article by Orr et al
  15. in Personnel Psychology 1991 vol 44 no 3 which reports that various
  16. outlier deletion methods had only a small impact on average rho
  17. estimation and various effects on the variance of the estimates.
  18. Do you know of any other recent emprical treatment of the question?
