- We are running with CMS 8(VM/ESA 1.1) with SAS 6.07. We use the option
- SSEG in the SYSPROF SAS to take advantage of the DCSS's to speed up the SAS
- program execution and start up time. The problem is that we keep receiving
- error messages from SAS about a 'SEGMENT not RESERVED ... in use' or 'SEGMENT
- not RESERVED .. ALREADY RESERVED' when the SAS program exits.
-
- I have traced the problem the the Institute supplied SASV6 module. Is there
- anyone out there that has solved the problem of the messages ? Is there a
- way to 'turn the messages off' without simply using the CP command 'SP CON
- START NOTERM' ?
-
- Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I know that the option
- NOSSEG would get rid of the messages, but it would also require loading the
- SAS system modules from disk rather than already having them in memory for
- execution.
