  11.   We are running with CMS 8(VM/ESA 1.1) with SAS 6.07.  We use the option
  12. SSEG in the SYSPROF SAS to take advantage of the DCSS's to speed up the SAS
  13. program execution and start up time.  The problem is that we keep receiving
  14. error messages from SAS about a 'SEGMENT not RESERVED ... in use' or 'SEGMENT
  15. not RESERVED .. ALREADY RESERVED' when the SAS program exits.

  17.   I have traced the problem the the Institute supplied SASV6 module.  Is there
  18. anyone out there that has solved the problem of the messages ?  Is there a
  19. way to 'turn the messages off' without simply using the CP command 'SP CON
  20. START NOTERM' ?

  22.   Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.  I know that the option
  23. NOSSEG would get rid of the messages, but it would also require loading the
  24. SAS system modules from disk rather than already having them in memory for
  25. execution.
