- We at Intel may have an arrangement for support that may be beyond the
- scope of the "usual" arrangements made with SI. However it wouldn't
- hurt to try it...
-
- SI is so enthusiastic about EMITS (as opposed to handling phone
- calls), that if they haven't expanded the service to all users, they
- probably will soon. I don't believe they have a trap based upon the
- name field, but probably do for the site number.
-
- Note: In my original comments, I emphasized that the "USER" should
- copy his systems folks on the mail to and from EMITS.. Tracking
- numbers must be communicated in this way and ZAP recommendations back
- to the user should be forwarded to the systems folks (SAS Site REP, or
- consultant). It is these communications that are vital to getting
- prompt and dependable support from SI and your systems folks.
- Obviously SI does not want to deal with the novice user who thinks he
- has found a bug, when a consultant is capable of discerning these
- facts. But I have a feeling, that if you are capable, willing,
- interested enough, and motivated enough to use EMITS, you probably
- qualify...Nuf Said ;-)
-
- If in doubt, contact your SAS Rep (SI Account Rep that is!)
