- The American Heritage dictionary defines male as "the sex CAPABLE of
- fertilizing ova or begetting young." Where is the "capable of" in
- Webster? A.H. also defines female as "the sex that produces ova or
- bears young." Better would be to define female as " the sex that
- produces ova and has the capacity to bear young.
