  14. I suspect there is one other point to make in this--that while the
  15. immediate problem is what people do when they find out someone's
  16. gender, the real issue is that in an intellectual climate gender
  17. display is not appropriate.  We should know a Dr. Morgan rather
  18. than a gender specific Kathy so that ideas are the focus of our
  19. attention rather than the gender of the person.  MS
