- I suspect there is one other point to make in this--that while the
- immediate problem is what people do when they find out someone's
- gender, the real issue is that in an intellectual climate gender
- display is not appropriate. We should know a Dr. Morgan rather
- than a gender specific Kathy so that ideas are the focus of our
- attention rather than the gender of the person. MS
