- Here's a new twist to the call number problems in NOTIS. We are a LC classing
- library (more or less, older materials not counting). At the time of
- conversion, WVU had the "R" (from th 049 location field) (R stands for Ref-
- erence), placed in subfield |b of the copy holdings and the rest of the LC
- call number placed in subfields |c (parsed correctly).

- A few questions have arisen. How does one show the patrons how to search for
- the reference collection call numbers beginning with an "R" ? (Call numbers
- that *normally* have R (medicine) are fine plus the usual LC call numbers are
- fine. Any suggestions or warnings? All answers are greatly appreciated.
