- The last time I spoke with Dragonfly about academic pricing (it was
- before the NBI incarnation), "academic pricing" was applied to any
- person affiliated with an educational institution, national boundaries
- irrelevant. (This is a company policy, not a US IRS issue...) DF/NBI
- is aimed at academics, and geography seems irrelevant to that purpose.
-
- Ah, documentation... Well, I can guarantee extra-continentals will not
- get it BEFORE those of us in North America; however, you'll get the
- same guarantee of documentation that current holders of the program
- have: it's coming, and your 60-day trial period begins at the date of
- arrival of the full documentation.
-
- Mervyn, as long as your eyes are up to the challenge, what
- currently ships with the program is A LOT. The "Quick Ref. Guide" is
- a pocket-size (in clear but microscopic print) encyclopedia of
- information. The Customization Guide has most everything you need to
- assist in navigating the menus, which are pretty self-explanatory if
- you have a roadmap. The Changes & New Features clues you in to
- (especially) keyboard changes that might otherwise confuse and
- befuddle. Most of the questions put to the list in recent weeks are
- answered by the documentation--if you can read it.
-
- I cheated--I enlarged the entire QRG and Customization Guide and put
- them in a binder for easy use. (The New Features and the Tutorial are
- already good-sized format & print.) It's amazing how much I've found
- in all that, now that I can see it... Maybe we can prevail on NBI to
- publish a Large Print Edition, and offer users a choice?
