- In connection with Wayne Meeks' inquiries, I have done some more
- experimentation.
-
- My bibliography is not yet large, but it does include some umlauted
- vowels. The .DAT files are stored in expanded form. When I search
- across all fields Ibid. finds the umlauted vowels with no problem at
- all. I can enter the vowels with either the Ctrl+Alt keystrokes or
- with the F6 compose key, and either way Ibid. works fine.
-
- I find that I can also enter the sz character with Ctrl+Alt+s.
- Perhaps I have not tried to do so in the particular screen in which
- Prof. Meeks needs it, but I have tried it while editing records, in
- the primary search screen and in the Select/search records screen. In
- each case it works properly.
-
- My previous statement that one must use the F6 compose key to enter
- diacriticals was based upon statements on this list rather than
- personal experience. I find now that I have used Ibid. a bit more
- with Lingua that the normal text entry methods work just fine. Sorry
- to have added to the confusion...
