- It is my understanding that you can, and should, edit the .dat
- files, eliminating the older or incorrect duplicates, inserting any
- Alt-space non-breakable space dot where necessary, and then reindex your
- database. Though I haven't tried it lately, when I've done that, ibid forced
- the reindex (presumably by noting the different dates on the index files and
- the data files.) in any case. It's worked for me.
