- I have three Ibid problems evidently introduced by moving the database from my
- office to my home machine. First, one book exists as two records that both
- have the same record number in the nbbib002.dat file. Second, three entries
- are duplicated, but the duplicates have different record numbers from the
- originals and do not show up when I browse the db. I tried accessing them
- via lookup, planning to delete the duplicates, but lookup did not find them.
- Can I in both these instances just edit the nbbib002.dat file, remove the
- offending entries, and store it? Do I then have to use "reindex" or "update"
- or "maintain" on the utility menu? One other record displays certain fields
- twice when I access it. The problem appears to be a missing raised dot at the
- very end of the record, after the last field that I added to the template.
- Can I simply put this dot back in by editing the *.dat file? Must I then
- reindex, etc.?
