- Unfortunately, the style delta for footnote (FM1..., FM2) does not
- control the footnote language. This is what it SHOULD HAVE DONE.
- You can of course put LA=4, LR=0 in the FM delta, but it won't
- work unless you manually insert LA4 in the footnote itself.
- Moreover, the LA4 code must precede the RP delta in the footnote.
- RP is used in NB 4.0 to virtually control spaces after the call
- number. This is a much more sophisticated method than the older
- actual small dot or full dot. RP is automatically inserted, but
- it becomes valid only if RT= is defined in the FM delta. For instance,
- RT=7 will insert one space. If the RP, which implements the parameter
- defined by RT=, is inserted BEFORE the language delta, in the Hebrew
- case the space occurs BEFORE the call number, not AFTER it.
-
- I hope I have not complicated matters too much.
-
- By the way, if you are ineterested in the various RT /RP options
- (the same relation now takes place in TOCs), the parameters
- are defined on extended phrases 900-930 odd. For instance,
- RT=7 will implement the signs saved on phrase 907. For a list
- of all extended phrases see NB-XPL01.ZIP.
