- When I type ascii-letters in Lingua, installed on my IBM L40SX laptop, using
- shift-alt plus a triple combination on the numerical keypad, I am given an
- empty box. To see what mystery is hidden in that box, I have to store and
- recall. Only then can I discover whether I was fallible and made a mistake
- when I typed that number. Is there an easier way of seeing the product at
- once? It worked (amemptoos) in SLS and I believe Lingua, which otherwise is
- mostly sheer delight, must be merely frivolous on this one. I do not want to
- use the other longer ways of typing mostly French and German characters.
