- I had a problem with personal.spl similar to the one that Allan Needel
- reports.
- I think the problem is that there is an NBI-supplied file called
- personal.spl lurking in the NB4 directory (It is only about 5K long.) I managed
- to get my own file loading by copying it on top of the personal.spl in NB4.
- (My file being resident in the old NB directory.)
-
- I'm back to the list after a long absence, trying to learn the intricacies of
- the new job, listed above in the form. Two quick questions about NB4. What's
- the new name for startup.int, or do I have to turn on the speller, adjust the
- ruler line and turn on automatic uppercasing manually each time I power up?And
- s econd, I am delighted that smart quotes are included in the new version: is
- there some way I can get them to print on an HPIII, internal fonts?
-
- Generally speaking I am pleased with the new version. I note some frustration
- with all the new keyboard assignments, but that is just a transitional
- problem.
- Why have they abandoned F11 and F12 though? I hate hunting and pecking for
- ScrollLock and NumLock.
-
- Best,
- Mohan
