- Ken Salzberg asks about 24 pin printers. I have a Roland Raven PR-2417
- which is also a Panasonic KPX 1124. I am very happy with it. There are now
- more recent versions and wide carriage versions. The cost is not very high.
- One note, if you intend to use it with Lingua, get the optional memory
- add-on to hold the downloaded fonts.
-
- Several days ago someone asked if anyone were having problems
- with the outlining function:
-
- Sometimes when I am doing an outline I know that I will want
- three level one points or two level five subpoints or some such
- before I know what the contents of those points will be. I
- create the outline and then start entering the points. In NB4
- this is done with <RETURN> to stay on the same level, <RETURN> +
- <GRAY -> to go one level higher, <RETURN> + <GRAY +> to go one
- level lower and <RETURN> + <n> to specify levels.
-
- The problem is that if I want to go through establishing the
- spots for points of the same level by hitting, say, <RETURN>
- several times, the second strike of <RETURN> erases the point
- which the previous strike has just entered. If I have typed any-
- thing or moved the cursor around between, a second instance of
- the outline level is entered and nothing is deleted.
-
- Is this a bug or a feature?
-
- P.S. While we are at it: I have noticed that when one is moving
- the cursor up and down the screen and it is out to the right
- beyond the end of the line, tapping <- moves the cursor to the
- end of the previous line, not the end of the line that the cursor
- appears to be on. Anyone else find this irritating?
