- A tall order, given who we're talking about when we talk
- about "universities." We're beginning such a rethinking here,
- at a small place supposedly dedicated to undergraduate teaching,
- and I'm continually astonished at the proportion of the faculty
- who don't believe there IS such a thing as curriculum. There's
- content, and you open their heads and dump it in.
- We're lucky to have some administrators that sound like
- David Schwalm, and some faculty members who believe student
- matter . . . but it's hard slogging.
