- I don't know if this is pertinent to the question, but I imagine that
- foreign language learning will be changing (possibly drastically) with
- the dissemination of Macintosh's System 7.1 software. 7.1 includes
- WorldScript, in 2 system extensions (one for phonetic/alphabet languages,
- one for ideogram languages) which, if installed along with a language
- module, enables one to create documents and label files in any language
- one wishes. It can be used to create documents that involve more than
- one language at once; obviously, this capability could be utilized along
- with hypertext to create many new multimedia forms of language learning
- software.

- I've just acquired the book _Hypertext: The Convergence of Contemporary
- Critical Theory and Technology_, by George P. Landow. Anyone know anything
- about it? (anyone out there write it?? :-) It looks very exciting.
