  11. Hello, I have a couple of questions about ES9000's.

  13. 1. Do many sites use PR/SM to run MVS/ESA and AIX together?

  15. 2. What is the AIX that runs on these machines, is it AIX/ESA?

  17. 3. We currently run VM/XA 2.1 on a IBM 4381 R24.  These users
  18.    would be moved to AIX, anyone done this?  How painful is it?
  19.    We have mostly SAS/SPSS users with lots of tapes, who like lots
  20.    of DASD. A batch facility would also be needed.

  22. 4. Are there any advantages to keeping VM in the picture?  Would
  23.    this allow more flexible partitioning or make it easier to
  24.    migrate?  We could run AIX/ESA machines as guests of VM/ESA.
