- A biography published in 1986 FREDERICK THE GREAT: THE MAGNIFICENT ENIGMA
- by Robert B. Asprey should suit your interests since it is very good on battles.
- The author is a former US Marine. He is less explicit on Frederick's personal
- life although he does mention that the female love of Frederick's later life was
- a ballerina from Italy admired by the monarch, said Voltaire, because her legs
- resembled those of a boy.
