-
- As I look at the ever increasing suite of X capable products comming from DEC,
- I am astounded to see that DEC is providing DUAL window system support for
- all of their products. Motif Mail - DECwindows Mail, Motif TPU - DECwindows
- TPU,...Motif DECwrite, Decwindows DECwrite ...the list is endless.
-
- Two questions to DEC:
-
- Why cannot you settle on ONE single windowing system and make it
- simply available to ALL DEC systems past and future. Is the
- small amount of royality to OSF for each machine *really* more expensive
- than what you are paying to develop and support multi-environment
- applications?
-
- Do you really think these applications are going to be competive
- in the marketplace when they are delayed to market, buggy-ier, and
- less functional because the developers have to pursue dual environment
- development paths.
-
- Get with the program!
