- I'm having trouble understanding the impact of moving to Motif.
- It appears that several layered products utilize Motif, such as
- VAXNotes, SNA/DECW Term. Emul., and DECdecision. My impression is
- that they, in fact, _require_ Motif. On the other hand, products
- such as LSE and CMS, which offer a DECwindows interface, do not
- presently use Motif. Two questions arise:
-
- 1.) If I install Motif, do I lose the DECwindows
- interface of those products that do not use Motif?
-
- 2.) If I do not install Motif, do any products
- become unavailable because they ONLY offer a Motif
- interface?
-
- Any help is greatly appreciated! As an aside (unless I'm off base
- on this issue) with regard to the CSLG product list that is
- periodically Emailed, is there a need/desire to have it include a
- column indicating Motif dependence?
-
- Thanks again!
