- I resent such an implication too, but it sometimes has to be made
- to remind those few people of their consciences. I like to believe
- that everyone involved does make decisions in the best interest
- of the child. But I've seen instances where it has simply not
- happened, particularly in the UK where the County Councils usually
- have a single collective program and where they have neither been prepared
- to give the child the choice of education program the parents wanted,
- nor to fund it elsewhere because they could not justify the cost or
- understand the situation from the parents' point of view.
