- Hello. I would be glad to respond to your survey.
- 1) I attended a normal High School and required no special services as I am
- a hearing person.
- 2) I think that attending a residential school for the deaf for my entire 4
- years might be frustrating, especially if 1) I didn't know sign language
- fluently and 2) If I had never encountered a different way of life and
- learning. I personally have been involved with people with special needs and
- might welcome the idea.
- 3) I think, at first, the students would see me as a stranger to their world
- but after a while would realize that I am not there to make them feel inferior
- and they are not there to make me feel inferior...I think we could become
- peers and friends as we could share so much with eachother.
