  11. As yet another hearing non-poster (lurker, muffin :) )  I was very
  12. interested to see the gentle responses to Donya's concern about
  13. being rejected.  One of the reasons I've hesitated to post is that
  14. I'm very aware that I am a vistor in a deaf space and should consider it
  15. a priviledge and behave accordingly.  Too often, I think hearing folks
  16. talk too much, listen too rarely and understand too little about
  17. deaf reality and deaf culture. I'm very interested (for both personal
  18. and professional reasons) and I have a lot to learn, so I'm really
  19. glad to be here.  But I do understand exactly how Donya feels.
