- While we're on the topic, does anyone know of currently existing
- IBM-compatible desktop computers that include the "sleep-mode"
- capability that has begun to appear on portable machines?
- Actual brands/sources would be appreciated.
-
- I know the EPA currently has a project working with engineers
- from Sun, Mac, and IBM (maybe Intel, and others too -- I have forgotten
- the source as I have seen brief mentions of it in a few places.)
- to incorporate these modes into the next generation of computing.
-
- There is a brief "article" in today's NYT advertising supplement
- _The Fall 1992 Review of Computers_ on _Save on PC Energy Consumption_
- Doesn't say a whole lot, but brings up the issues of computer energy
- use.
