  31. I would have thought that serving anybody who called themselves the
  32. `Lord of the files' in a conservative place like Los Altos would cause
  33. problems :-).   However note the :-) in my post - for the humor imparied
  34. this denotes sarcasm or some attempt at humor.

  38. No and Jeans/T Shirt/Birkenstocks - standard techie stuff.    It seems
  39. to me that nobody I know in Los Altos has a had a problem with them
  40. except you.  The simplest explanation that fits the facts is that you
  41. look odd or did/said somthing to cause them to view you as weird. :-)

  43. Los Altos is rather closer to the mid west in its outlook than say
  44. Berkeley but even so I can't believe they just picked on you for no
  45. reason.
