- If memory serves me correctly, the 4/280 does not support booting
- from a cd-rom. I just went through this procedure for a 3/260.
- You need a tape distribution from an OS rev that recognizes the cd-rom
- device that you can boot from & start a normal install as if you were
- going to do it all from tape. When you get to the "media" screen,
- just specify that you're local (or remote) system is connected to
- the sr0 device & that's where you want to install from. From that
- point on, it will pull install files off of the cd-rom.
- This is the procedure I just went through & the main advantage is
- that it speeds things up immensely.
