- that obesity is more widespread? If the latter, I encourage you to realize that
- the stats on that are wildly variable, depending on where you define "obesity"
- and how you define "eating disorder". Don't forget that much of what this
- society views as normal behavior is actually very unhealthy; many people are
- quite healthy at higher weights than are often considered "normal", and the
- way women (and, to a lesser extent, men) view food and eating habits is just
- bizarre. Basically, we expect women to be following unhealthy eating habits,
- reward her if she does and revile her if she doesn't.
