- <Well I didn't declare war;
- <
- <"Friends, this is radical feminism. The agenda Clinton & Clinton
- <would impose on America - abortion on demand, a litmus test for the
- <Supreme Court, homosexual rights, discrimination against religious
- <schools, women in combat - that's change all right. But it is not the
- <kind of change America wants. It is not the kind of change America
- <needs. And it is not the kind of change we can tolerate in a nation
- <that we still call God's country. "
- <
- <"We stand with President Bush for right to life, and for voluntary
- <prayer in the public schools - and against putting American women in
- <combat. And we stand with President Bush in favor of the right of
- <small towns and communities to control the raw sewage of pornography
- <that pollutes our popular culture. "
- <
- <"There is a religious war going on in our
- <country for the soul of America. It is a cultural war, as critical to
- <the kind of nation we will one day be - as was the Cold War itself.
- <And in that struggle for the soul of America, Clinton & Clinton are on
- <the other side, and George Bush is on our side. And, so, we have to
- <come home - and stand beside him."
- <
- <
- <"And, as they took back the streets of Los Angeles, block by block, so
- <we must take back our cities, and take back our culture, and take back
- <our country."

- <Pat Buchanan
-
- What is wrong with that? Ymu post this as if it is obvious from just
- quoting him. What is wrong with what Mr Buchanan said?
-
- <But there are differences. I sometimes think that the
- <liberals are always so angry because they believed the
- <grandiose promises of the liberation movements. They're
- <disappointed because most women do not wish to be liberated
- <from their essential natures as women. Most of us love
- <being mothers or wives, which gives our lives a richness
- <that few men or women get from professional accomplishments
- <alone. Nor has it made for a better society to liberate men
- <from their obligations as husbands or fathers.
- <
- <Marilyn Quayle
-
- What is wrong with that?
-
- <In a nutshell: I believe the lawless social anarchy which we saw is
- <directly related to the breakdown of family structure, personal
- <responsibility, and social order in too many areas of our society. For
- <the poor the situation is compounded by a welfare ethos that impedes
- <individual efforts to move ahead in society, and hampers their ability
- <to take advantage of the opportunities America offers.
- <
- <Dan Quayle (the LA Riot speech that did nto mention race once)
-
- What is wrong with that?
-
- <Today, more than ever, the traditional family is under assault.
- <We believe our laws should reflect what makes our Nation
- <prosperous and wholesome: faith in God, hard work, service to
- <other, and limited government.
- <
- < Just as spiritual principles -- our moral compass -- help
- <guide public policy, learning must have a moral basis. America
- <must remain neutral towards particular religions, but we must not
- <remain neutral toward religion itself or the values religion
- <supports. Mindful of our country's Judeo-Christian heritage and
- <rich religious pluralism, we support the right of students to
- <engage in voluntary prayer in schools and the right of the
- <community to do so at commencements or other occasions. We will
- <strongly enforce the law guaranteeing equal access to school
- <facilities. We also advocate recitation of the Pledge of
- <Allegiance in schools as a reminder of the principles that
- <sustain us as one Nation under God.
- <
- <(also a stance against abortion that was edited for the net)
- <
- <Republican Platform
-
- What is the problem here?
-
- < The people of Eastern Europe got rid of their left wingers, it is
- <time we in America got rid of our left wingers!
- <
- < George Bush's vision for America, ladies and gentlemen, is one of
- <faith in God, strong families, freedom, individual initiative, and
- <free enterprise.
- <
- < He wants to repeal the ban on homosexuals in the military and
- <appoint homosexuals to his administration.
- <
- <until we honor the elderly and protect the unborn child in its
- <mother's womb
- <
- <Pat Robertson
-
- I don't agree with the military's policy on homosexuals, but other than
- that, what is the problem here?
-
-
- I don't agree with everything above, or everything the people above
- have said, but although you didn't say it here, I take from other
- things you've posted, that ym> think the above people are hate-filled
- bigots, and that the above quotes are examples of that (if that's not
- it, then I apologize). Well, I'm against bigotry as much as anyone,
- but I don't see it here or in these people. If it is so clear, explain
- it to me. Exactly why is it that the issues above aren't legitimate
- issues?
