  25. Amen to that.  I make it no secret that I bitterly opposed Clinton before the
  26. election and that I feared a Clinton presidency.  And while I am still uneasy
  27. about the future under Clinton, I plan to give him the benefit of any doubts
  28. I may have and hope to join with others to create a better future for *all*
  29. of us.  This certainly is a time to abandon partisan rhetoric, roll up our
  30. sleeves and attack the problems that face us.  I only hope that Clinton tries
  31. to do this without feeling a need for a federal program for everything.
