  12. Hip hop or whatever, Beasties win over 3rd Bass any way you look at it.

  14. They are artists in the every sense of the word. Check the videos. Check
  15. the lyrics on Paul's Boutique. Then check 'em again. Check out Cookie
  16. Puss.

  18. Don't get me wrong, 3rd Bass had some dope shit - the cactus had great
  19. tracks and I listen to it still.( Soul in the Hole. MMMM, niiiice ) The
  20. GASface video was dope. Richie Rich is a fantastic DJ. BUT they will
  21. always live in the shadow of the Beastie Boys.....

  23. Wassup with them trying to diss B-boys on "Stymies Theme"? If you listen
  24. to the lyrics real close, you can pick up some real subtle stuff that is
  25. very much anti- beastie. THEY DID NOT OPENLY DISS EM BECAUSE THEY KNEW
  26. THEY HAD NO CLOUT.

  28. The Beastie Boys, despite their antics, are much deeper than 3rd Bass,
  29. who, especially on Derelicts, represent the common clay of hip hop. I've
  30. heard most of this shit before. Even ZLO and Nice and Smooth couldn't
  31. save that one. What I'm trying to say is, they fell the fuck off!

  33.  My roommate once read where Serch used to come over to Mike D's house
  34. and try to be his friend. D used to sit in his bed and throw stuff at
  35. Serch and laugh at him. "hey Serch, here it comes!"

  37. The bottom line is, the Beastie Boys will continue to redefine and push
  38. the borders of hip hop - and 3rd Bass will go down as a group with a
  39. good debut and not much more.
