US Politics -- Channel Surfin' with the Alien.

   So THANK G-D its over, huh?!  Maybe now they can just get on with it
and make America number 2 again.  Maybe they'll make it so that the rest
the world thinks of more than Big Macs, Hollywood, and MTV when they think
of America. In case you didn't know but were wondering there are 3 MTVs that
I know of.  Besides American there's EuroMTV and AsianMTV (which inludes
the middle east). I've seen all three.  Last Feb/March there was this French
video (dont remember which) that you'd never see in America that was quite
something.

On Madonna's new book Sex:
   Remember the stink about 6 or 7 years ago when Penthouse published
nude photos of Madonna without her permission? And now she goes and
does it herself and people are yawning....  My brother said that someone
brought it to a party and people were yawning. He commented that Madonna
the megastar hardly makes a fuss with this, but yet Sinead the musical
politco creates an incredible furor with the SNL debacle!

    Cartoon in Newsweek: Man in bookstore looking at pile of the books
with a big sign saying $49.95. Man says, "Hey, for that price you can
get the real thing!"


People
    Did everyone notice that America's one and only Kathie Lee graced the
cover of People magazine last week?!?! I gobbled it up. After all,
though I usually get to work by 10, I sometimes turn on Live! with Regis
and Kathie Lee before tearing myself away to go to work.

    For those of you with enquiring minds who were too busy (yea, right. Let's
face reality. You were just too embarassed to be seen looking at a copy of
People if it wasn't in the checkout line at the supermarket.) to read it,
I'll fill you in. Kathie Lee is 39 and married to Frank Gifford who is 62.
(Regis is 59.) She was born Jewish but the whole family became born again
around the time she was 9 or 10.  She and Frank met when they were both
filling in on GMA. Regis saw her on GMA and that's when he knew he wanted
her on the show. Nuff said.

Good Morning America (ABC)
    The second national tv show I was seen on tv in the audience for was
last May when GMA did their spring bus tour through New England. (The first
show is a secret till another SBW.) The day they filmed in Harvard Yard I
was there. Wouldn't have missed it. After the show they threw out GMA
frisbees of which I caught one and got it autographed by Charlie. I took
some close up pics of Charlie and Joan after the show.  What a rush!

    Anyway, this just brings me to the fact that GMA is embarking on their
winter tour on Nov 11.  This time they will be in the southwest. For the
(currently) vicarious traveler like me who also has a great interest in
that part of the country, I'll be there! So should you! :)

I am a SWM living in the Boston area, nonsmoking working professional,
30, 6', dark hair, slim, attractive, whose interests include the
outdoors, movies, food, music, guitar, health and fitness, art,
travel, and fun in general. Moderate to liberal politics (NO conservative
republicans!). I am mostly easygoing and relaxed and sometimes intense.

I spent the first four months of this year on "sabbatical" traveling
around the world. Areas toured include India, Europe, and Israel.
Future travel plans include Europe (again. other parts not covered),

I modified the preferences part. Look, while the above is what
I'm attracted to in a person, it is not an all inclusive list nor does

auric exchange or anything!) If I meet someone who is below 5' 3" or under
27 but ITs there I'm not going to check them off cause they don't meet
a, b, c, or d.
