- In article <lg1556INNod7@jethro.Corp.Sun.COM> Geoff Miller writes:
-
- >As far as I know, any resemblance between me and the alt.tasteless poster
- >child is strictly one of spirit, since none of the people who've mentioned
- >us in the same context have actually met me. I've been told, on different
- >occasions, that I look like Bob Weir, Luke Skywalker, Dave Barry and Dick
- >York from Bewitched (the last of which I find difficult to believe), but
- >nobody's ever told me in person that I look like the Ginsu Man from Milwaukee.
-
- Denial isn't pretty (although its entertainment value is undeniable). I
- don't have the requisite article at hand, but perhaps JZ can repost his
- deadly accurate word description of Mr. Miller from last Spring, in which
- Jeff D. and Geoff M. are mentioned in the same clause.
-
- >Peeve: The big to-do over date rape awhile back. When it actually happens,
- >it's a serious matter. But given the shrillness of those they opposed, I
- >admire and applaud the courage of those who publicly questioned the motives
- >of the original "study" in which many of the supposed "victims" didn't even
- >consider themselves to have been raped.
-
- That "great sucking sound" you hear isn't what you think it is. It's the
- collectively inhaled gasp of recognition (mistaken, but fierce) coming
- from the legions of the sanctified Correct, now ready to take this voice
- of reason to task, and to Straighten Him Out. This oughta be good.
-
- Thanks, Geoff.
