  22. This was regarding the post on Babaji. I read a number of newsgroups
  23. that it is 'relevant' to, so I have seen it many times now. I think if
  24. someone wants to read about such things it would be more appropriate
  25. to go read soc.religion.eastern, or talk.religion.newage.

  27. It appears to me that the purpose of this group is the discussion of
  28. experiences and techniques of oob experiences. The post you refer to,
  29. on the other hand, was more of a religious commercial. I do agree that
  30. spiritual and consciousness issues, and out-of-body are related. But
  31. it seems that if you start broadening the scope of discussion to the
  32. point of including material like that as relevant, you wash out the
  33. initial purpose of having this newsgroup, as opposed to just bringing
  34. it up on, say, alt.magick, or talk.religion.newage.
  35.  
  36. I like the idea of having a focused newsgroup that doesn't run off to
  37. far distant tangents. 
  38. Now, if you want to talk about what various spiritual traditions have
  39. to say about direct experiences someone is curious about here, I think
  40. then that it is germaine.
