  11. I just installed lucid, and it's basically great.  I'm trying to handle
  12. some of the rough edges (as compared to what I had with epoch) and have
  13. not found my answers.  First, though, is there a news group dedicated to
  14. lucid emacs?  I only know about help-lucid-emacs and bug-lucid-emacs mail
  15. addresses.

  17. Now for my real questions...

  19. 1)  I've found out how to configure the function keys and Ln and Rn keys
  20. on my Sun Sparc 2.  (It's set up for Lucid widgets, not OLIT, even though
  21. we are running OL.)  I can't figure out how to make the Copy, Paste and
  22. Cut keys work with lucid.  I had figured out how to make them work under
  23. epoch with stuff like mouse::copy-zone as defined in motion.el (well, a
  24. modified version of motion.el sent to me and further customized).  Can it
  25. use the OpenLook functions, and thus copy text from another Sun window
  26. into lucid?

  28. 2)  I've figured out how to change the default font for lucid (by adding
  29.       Emacs*default.attributeFont: -*-menu-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
  30. to my .Xdefaults file.  Well, I thought I could also change the mouse
  31. pointer to look like what our regular Sun mouse pointer is (#132 from
  32. the X11 cursor library).  I added the line
  33.       Emacs*textPointer:  XC_top_left_arrow
  34. but it still uses the old cross hairs, and sometimes complains about not
  35. being able to convert string "XC_top_left_arrow" to type Cursor.
