  11. Hi,
  12.     I am running lucid emacs 19.3 on an i486 under Mach 3.0. Autosaving
  13. of buffers associated with files works just file; however when it tries
  14. to save a buffer not associated with a file it goes into some sort of 
  15. infinite loop (sits there and eats major amounts of CPU cycles and never
  16. comes back). An easy way to duplicate this problem is to just enable 
  17. auto-save on *scratch* and start typing random garbage at it. Eval'ing 
  18. buffer-auto-save-file-name in the buffer yields a reasonable-looking 
  19. filename....

  21. I'm wondering if I'm the only one who has this problem (i.e. it's something
  22. specific to my setup) or if others have experienced the same thing. Please
  23. let me know if you have any suggestions as to what might be wrong... at this
  24. point I know it's dying someplace in auto_save_1, but I haven't decided
  25. where exactly...
