  13. Mirkwood.mcs.kent.edu is down until further notice.  The entire Kent State
  14. Math/Computer Science department was apparently compromised bya destructive
  15. cracker last week.  The staff are busily restoring the system and mirkwood's
  16. reconstruction is low on the list.
