one question: why argue about bots? you can do anything with your .ircrc file
that you can do in a bot... i originally made dragonbot because i was on vms
which doesn't have .ircrc files or the alias's that the great unix clients have
i admin bots that cause floods by talking on channels by on public commands
(unless it's only on public by userhost of the master so people don't abuse bot)
auses a lot of trouble.. but sides that bots can be of good use.. i personally hate noteserv because it takes soo much time to get that msg.. when your own

bot can just log people's msgs it's easier for people.
