- Some of the informations printed in the IRCprimer 1.0 (Last june version)
- are now irrelevant (I may also need to convert the script(s) to the last
- pre-version language) so I may start working on an update soon...

-
- For now, the IRC primer is on a few ftp sites, including nic.funet.fi,
- cs.bu.edu, plod.cbme.unsw.edu.au ... It's a 32 pages postscript document,
- teaching basics of IRC and ircII up to learning how to write a .ircrc,
- and answering about a dozen faq's. If you don't have a postscript
- printer/previewer Sorg has produced a very nice text version of the file.
-
- For those interested in local adaptations to fit your university
- requirements/setups, or translation in another language, I have also
- left the LaTeX source code of the primer on nic.funet.fi one or two
- months ago. Check out for files called IRCprimer.ps.Z, IRCprimer.txt.Z
- and IRCprimer.tex respectively.
-
- I would especially like to receive a list of the ftp sites admins
- who support this file, of the new IRC clients available (MacIntosh in
- particular...) and of sites that have public clients available, even
- if the use of such clients is restricted to a country or state.
-
- Thanx for your attention, but please don't ask me to add in the primer
- a chapter about 'how to write a bot' :^)
